After the ‘Year Year’ EP, DJ Griffo Groove Science returns to Pogo House Records with the Imitation EP. Griffo Groove Science takes us on a trip down memory lane with 3 tracks packed full of 90’s house vibes, jammed with iconic samples from the rave era, accompanied by rave piano keys and upbeat melodies. Track 1 ‘Imitation’ feels so oldskool it’s got us searchin for our rizla with Ratpack influences alongside some rave piano keys. Track 2 ‘Lost My Mind’ has nice builds and drops and has a flow of progression through the track that keeps you on your toes listening to it. Track 3 ‘Far From Home (Sunday Mix)’ gives us upbeat piano keys with a nice warm bassline and crisp percussion arrangement. A slight change from the Garage House sound that synonymous with Pogo House Records but keeping within the parameters of oldskool House vibes which is essentially the roots of the current scene.
